About this set
Roses, tulips, lilies, fruit and wildflowers: 24 colour botanical plates and paintings made before 1900, chosen for clean, evenly coloured scans and a cohesive look that hangs well as a gallery wall, in a hallway or across a shelf.
Every image comes from the open-access collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Cleveland Museum of Art, where it is published as public domain / CC0. We checked each one against the museum's own record. You are paying for the selection and the print preparation, not for the artwork itself.
What is included
- 24 print-ready JPEG masters (full museum-scan resolution, quality 90, sRGB, 300 dpi tag)
- Sizing guide PDF with the largest 300 ppi and 200 ppi print size for every image
- Personal-use licence PDF
- Provenance PDF and CSV: museum, accession number, link and licence flag for each image
- README with printing steps
Print sizes
- Sharp at 300 ppi (arm's-length quality): 8x10 in for 24, 8x12 in for 16, 9x12 in for 15, A4 for 19 (of 24 prints).
- Still good at 200 ppi (wall-viewing quality): 11x14 in for 24, 12x16 in for 24, A3 for 24, 12x18 in for 16, 16x20 in for 2 (of 24 prints).
- The sizing guide PDF lists the largest 300 ppi and 200 ppi size for every individual print. Files are never enlarged beyond the museum scan, so please stay within those sizes.
- Each file fits every common frame shape from 4:5 to 2:3 (8x10, 5x7, 11x14, A4, 9x12, 8x12 and larger sizes of the same shapes): choose 'Fill' or 'Crop to fit' in your print dialog or print lab, and only the flat mat is trimmed, never the artwork.
Files and download size
Delivered as 2 ZIP files (about 45 MB in total, each under 24 MB), because the full-resolution JPEG masters are large. Download all 2 and unzip them into one folder; each part also contains the sizing guide, licence and provenance list. Inside: 24 JPEG files (quality 90, sRGB, tagged 300 dpi), one per print, plus a sizing guide PDF, a personal-use licence PDF, a provenance PDF and CSV, and a README.
