Privacy Policy

Last updated October 27, 2026

Quietcog collects as little personal data as it can. This policy explains what we handle.

What we collect

Payments and Stripe

Payments are processed by Stripe. For applicable purchases, Stripe acts as merchant of record and reseller under Stripe Managed Payments; in that case Stripe collects and processes the payment and tax information it needs under its own privacy policy.

How we use data

To deliver products, process orders and refunds, send transactional emails (receipts, sign-in links, alerts you asked for), prevent abuse and answer support requests. We do not sell personal data and we do not run advertising trackers.

Browser extensions and licence-key validation

Our browser extensions work on your device. The Draft Rescue extension stores the text it saves only in your browser and does not send it to us. If you subscribe to a Pro plan, the extension sends only your licence key to our licence server, about once a day, as a minimal check that the subscription is active. The key contains a subscription identifier and no personal content. Details are in the Draft Rescue Privacy Policy.

Product-specific privacy policies

Purchases through third-party marketplaces

If you buy or install an item through a third-party marketplace (for example Notion's template marketplace, Apify Store, RapidAPI, the Chrome Web Store, WordPress.org, Google Workspace Marketplace, the Wix App Market, the Atlassian Marketplace or Amazon KDP), the platform processes your payment and account details under its own privacy policy, and its terms govern that purchase. Quietcog receives only what the platform shares with us about the sale or install. The Chrome Web Store only distributes our free extension installs; paid upgrades such as Draft Rescue Pro are sold directly by Quietcog through Stripe and follow our own refund policy.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not set tracking cookies. Products that need a sign-in may use a cookie strictly to keep you signed in.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers needed to run the Services (such as Stripe for payments, hosting providers and email delivery) or when the law requires it.

Retention and your choices

We keep order records as long as needed for accounting and legal purposes and delete other data when it is no longer needed. You can ask us to access or delete your data by contacting us. gb1@mail.grokbot.com

Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13.

Changes

We will update this page if our practices change; the date above shows the latest version.

Google Sheets add-ons (Period Roll, Roster Tabs, Tab Stacker and Splitter)

Section last updated: 28 October 2026. This section applies to the Google Sheets add-ons Period Roll, Roster Tabs and Tab Stacker and Splitter ("the add-ons") made by Quietcog. It adds to the rest of this privacy policy; for these add-ons, if anything here is more specific, this section applies. Contact: gb1@mail.grokbot.com.

Summary

  • Each add-on reads and changes only the spreadsheet you have open, only when you click a button.
  • Spreadsheet contents are not sent to us or to anyone else, and are not stored, logged, sold, used for advertising, or used to train AI or machine-learning models.
  • The only data that leaves your spreadsheet is your Google account email address and the add-on's name, sent over HTTPS to our license service to check whether you have a Pro subscription.
  • We keep no database of users.

Google user data the add-ons access

Google permission (OAuth scope)What it lets the add-on doWhy we need it
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets.currentonlyRead and edit the spreadsheet in which the add-on is used, and nothing else.To create, copy, fill and name tabs, and to read the ranges, names and columns you point the add-on at.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.container.uiShow menus, sidebars and dialogs inside Google Sheets. To display the add-on's user interface.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.emailSee your Google account email address. To check whether that email has a Pro subscription, and to bind the license token to you.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.localeSee your Google account language setting. To format dates and menus for your language.

The add-ons cannot see your other spreadsheets, Google Drive, Gmail, Calendar or contacts.

What leaves your spreadsheet

Spreadsheet contents never leave your spreadsheet. Names on a roster, cell values, tab names and column contents are processed inside Google's own environment while the add-on runs and are not transmitted to us or to any third party.

When you open an add-on's sidebar it may contact our license service at sheets-license.quietcog.workers.dev over HTTPS. The request contains your Google account email address and the add-on's product name. Our service asks Stripe, our payment processor, whether that email has an active Pro subscription for that product, and answers "free" or a signed license token. We do not write the email address to our own database or logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) handles IP addresses and request metadata in transit, as any web host does, under its own policy.

Upgrading. If you click one of the "Upgrade to Pro" buttons (Monthly or Yearly), the add-on opens a Stripe checkout page in a new browser tab. Your Google account email address is pre-filled in that page's link so your subscription matches your account; from there Stripe's own privacy policy applies.

Optional access code. If you type an access code into the "Have an access code?" box in a sidebar (used for review and testing of Pro features), your email address, the add-on's product name and the code are sent to the same license service. The code is checked and not stored.

Google API Services User Data Policy (Limited Use)

The use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, we use Google user data only to provide and improve the user-facing features of the add-ons that you request; we do not transfer it to others except as needed to provide those features (the email check described above), to comply with law, or as part of a merger or sale with notice to you; we do not use it for advertising; and no human reads it unless you give consent for specific support help, it is necessary for security or to comply with law.

Sharing

We do not sell or share personal data. Service providers: Stripe (payments and the Pro lookup) and Cloudflare (hosting of the license service and this website). We may disclose information if the law requires it.

Retention, deletion and your rights

Settings and tokens live in your Google account and disappear when you uninstall the add-on or delete them. We hold no spreadsheet data to delete. For payment records, email gb1@mail.grokbot.com: we will cancel the subscription and ask Stripe to erase what the law allows within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA) you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data; email us to exercise them. You can review or revoke the add-ons' access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Security

Traffic to the license service uses HTTPS. License tokens are signed and tied to your email address and the specific add-on. The add-ons request the minimum Google permissions they need.

WordPress Pro add-ons and the licence page

The WordPress add-ons (Retired Product Redirects for WooCommerce Pro, Local Link Checker Pro and their free plugins) run on your own WordPress site. They do not send data about your site, your visitors or your links to us, and check your licence key on your site without a network call. The redirect hit log of Retired Product Redirects Pro stores request paths, the reason, the target, the status and the time in your own database, with no IP address, user agent or referrer. Local Link Checker sends requests from your server to the websites your links point to, which can see your server's address; nothing goes to Quietcog.

When you buy a licence, Stripe sends you to a licence page served by a small Cloudflare Worker. The Worker receives the Stripe checkout session identifier in the page address, asks Stripe to confirm that the purchase is paid and which plan it was, and then shows your key and download links. It stores nothing: it keeps no database, no email address and no log of keys, and the key it creates contains no name or email address. Cloudflare processes ordinary request data (such as IP address) to deliver the page, under its own privacy policy. Treat the address of your licence page as private, because anyone who has it can see your key. Payment details are handled only by Stripe, as described above.

Quietcog Property Signals (Austin weekly permit digest)

Last updated October 28, 2026

Quietcog Property Signals is a paid weekly digest of commercial building-permit activity in Austin, Texas. This section explains what we collect when you subscribe and how the digest is built. It applies together with the rest of this privacy policy.

What the digest contains, and what it does not

The digest is built only from commercial and industrial public records published by the City of Austin on its open-data portal. We exclude residential records (including one- and two-family homes and condominiums). We do not publish personal data about individual homeowners or other individuals: no personal names, personal phone numbers or personal email addresses. Where a permit record names a business (for example a contractor company), we show the business name only; if we are not sure a name belongs to a business, we leave it out. Each item links to the official City record.

Data sources and licenses

The permit data comes from the City of Austin Open Data Portal, dataset "Issued Construction Permits" (data.austintexas.gov, dataset ID 3syk-w9eu). The portal lists the data as public domain (U.S. Government Works), and its terms of use ask users to credit the City and not to use the data to identify or contact individuals. We access the portal only through its official open-data API, with small requests and a polite delay, and do not scrape. The City of Austin does not sponsor or endorse Quietcog or this product.

Information we collect from subscribers

  • Email address, to identify your subscription and, if email delivery is turned on, to send the weekly issue.
  • Trade filters you choose at signup (for example subcontractors, roofers, cleaning, maintenance vendors), used only to tailor which "leads for trades" sections you see.
  • Billing information through Stripe. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We store the Stripe customer, subscription and checkout-session identifiers Stripe gives us, and your subscription status (active, past due, canceled).
  • A private access token that forms your private link to the latest issue, and a temporary signup record that is deleted after payment or within three days.
  • Basic technical logs kept by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) such as IP address and request details. We do not set cookies for this product and do not run advertising trackers on its pages.

How we use and share it

We use this information to provide the subscription, handle billing and cancellations, prevent abuse, answer support requests and keep the service running. We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the product: Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (hosting and storage) and, only if and when email delivery is enabled, an email delivery provider. We may disclose information if required by law.

Retention and your choices

We keep subscriber records while your subscription is active and for a limited period afterward for billing, tax and dispute purposes. You can cancel at any time through Stripe (see the Terms) and you can ask us to delete or correct your subscriber information by emailing gb1@mail.grokbot.com. Unsubscribing from emails stops the emails; it does not by itself cancel billing.

Not a consumer report

This data is compiled from public records for informational purposes only. It is not a consumer report under the FCRA and may not be used for credit, insurance, employment, or tenant-screening decisions. It is not investment advice. Verify all information with the original source.

Quietcog Corporate Signals (SEC Form D filings)

Last updated October 28, 2026

Quietcog Corporate Signals publishes information about companies and funds taken from public filings on SEC EDGAR. This section explains what the product does with data. It applies together with the rest of this privacy policy.

What the product publishes

The product reads the SEC's daily index and the public Form D filings on SEC EDGAR and shows company-level facts, such as the issuer name, industry, state and offering amount, with a link to each official filing. It does not publish the names of individuals who appear in filings. We access EDGAR with a declared user agent and a low request rate, as the SEC's fair-access policy asks.

What we collect

The product is currently in a read-only launch phase. Subscription is not open: the sign-up page says "coming soon" and does not collect an email address, payment details or any other information from you. We do not set cookies for this product and do not run advertising trackers on its pages. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, keeps basic technical logs such as IP address and request details so the service can run securely.

Contact and removal

Questions or requests about this product: gb1@mail.grokbot.com. The information shown is taken from public SEC filings; if you believe a record is wrong, tell us and we will review it.

Quietcog Directories (free self-listing form)

Last updated October 28, 2026

This section covers the Quietcog business directories, including the Organic Co-Packer & Private Label Directory at /directories/organic-copackers. Directory listings are built from public government records and show businesses, not individuals. It applies together with the rest of this privacy policy.

What the self-listing form collects

If you use the free "List your business" form, we store what you type into it: business name, category, city, state, website, business email address, optional business phone number, a short description, an optional certification ID, and your confirmations that you are authorized to submit and consent to publication. Please use a business address such as info@ or sales@ rather than a personal one. The form needs a business email address so a reviewer can check the submission; it is not published unless you buy a featured listing. We do not send any email in response to the form.

Moderation and retention

Submissions are stored on Cloudflare, our hosting provider, in a private review queue. A person reviews each one and nothing is published automatically. Approved entries are published with the business name, category, city and state, website and description. Rejected submissions are deleted automatically after 30 days.

Rate limiting

To prevent abuse we limit how many submissions one network can send. For this we keep a salted hash of the visitor's IP address with a counter that expires within hours. We do not store the raw IP address with the submission. We do not set cookies for the directories and do not run advertising trackers on their pages.

Featured listings and removal

A paid featured listing is bought through Stripe, which handles payment details; we never see card numbers. To remove or correct a listing, or to have a self-submission deleted, email gb1@mail.grokbot.com with the listing ID.
