Tag Ledger: Privacy Policy

Last updated October 27, 2026

Publisher: Quietcog. Contact: gb1@mail.grokbot.com Quietcog's general privacy policy, terms and refund policy are on this website. This page describes what the Tag Ledger Obsidian plugin itself does.

Summary

Tag Ledger works entirely on your device. The plugin makes no network requests, collects no personal data, and has no analytics, telemetry or AI features. Your notes and tag names are never sent anywhere.

What the plugin reads and stores

License key

The key is verified offline: the plugin checks the key's cryptographic signature on your device and contacts no server. The key contains a random license ID, a product code and an issue date. It contains no name or email address.

Network

The plugin makes no network requests. The only outbound action is the "Open purchase page" button, which opens your web browser to our website.

No AI

Tag Ledger contains no AI features and calls no AI service. Cleanup suggestions are fixed rules (matching tags that differ only by case, separator or a simple plural).

Purchases

Pro is a one-time purchase handled by Stripe, under Stripe's privacy policy. Stripe collects your billing email to complete the purchase and issue a receipt, and we can see purchase records, including that email, in our Stripe account. See our general privacy policy for how we handle order data, and the refund policy (14 days for one-time purchases).

We do not sell your data

We do not sell or share your data and do not use it for advertising.

Children

Tag Ledger is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We will post any changes here and update the date above.
