Cuemend is a browser tool that converts, re-times and checks subtitle files. Your subtitle files are processed in the page on your device and are never uploaded to Quietcog or anyone else. The page's content-security policy blocks every network request made by the page's own code, so it cannot send your files anywhere.
- No accounts, no analytics, no cookies, no third-party scripts. Cuemend sets no cookies and loads nothing from other sites.
- Stored on your device: if you activate Pro, the license key is kept in your browser's local storage, along with an optional custom QC preset (two numbers) if you use that Pro feature. Clearing site data, or using "Remove key" in the app, deletes them. Nothing is sent to us.
- Buying Pro: the Buy links open Quietcog's license service, which immediately sends you on to Stripe's checkout page. Stripe is the merchant of record and collects your payment details and billing email under Stripe's privacy policy. After payment, the license service asks Stripe to confirm the payment and shows you a signed license key. It does not use, log or store your name, email or address, and it has no database. The key contains only the plan, a one-way hash of the order reference and dates, and is verified on your device against a public key, with no network call.
- Managing a subscription: for the monthly and annual plans, the license page you see after paying has a "Manage or cancel your subscription" link that sends you to Stripe's billing portal, where you can cancel, update your payment method and see invoices. Bookmark that page to return to it.
- Hosting: this page and the license service run on Cloudflare, which, like any web host, handles standard request data such as your IP address when you load a page. Quietcog does not use it for tracking.
- Refunds: see the refund policy. Quietcog's general privacy policy and terms also apply.
