About this pattern
A first sampler for learning to read a chart: the letters A to Z and the numbers 0 to 9 in an original 5 × 7 pixel font, set in coloured rows between a triple border, with five small icons (heart, star, pine tree, sun and drop). The chart is 77 × 77 stitches in 8 colours (1,728 stitches), about 5.5 × 5.5 inches on 14 count, with large single-colour blocks and no tiny details. It has a full colour chart, a four-page symbol chart with a page map, a one-page tablet chart, a floss key with hex colours, colour names and skein estimates, and short beginner instructions. The letter shapes are yours to copy for names and dates on your own pieces.

Nothing is traced or copied, and no licensed characters, logos or sayings are used. Thread colours are given as hex values with descriptive names, not thread numbers, so match them to the floss you own; Quietcog is not affiliated with any thread maker. Not tested by a human stitcher yet: please report any problem.
