Retro Game Sound Pack — 58 Chiptune SFX preview

About this sound pack

58 chiptune-style game sounds built entirely from code: square and triangle waves with 4-bit amplitude steps, sample-and-hold noise for hits and explosions, arpeggios for power-ups, and short original jingles for level start, level complete, victory and game over. Each sound is trimmed, faded and peak-normalized, so it drops straight into a game jam project, a prototype, or a retro-style video. They are original sound designs: not recordings or copies of any existing game's sounds.

Questions

Can I use these in a commercial game?

Yes. Use them in any number of commercial or personal projects (games, apps, videos, streams, ads) with no royalties and no credit required.

Are these copied from classic games?

No. Every sound is synthesized from scratch by code (oscillators, noise and envelopes) in a generic 8-bit style. The jingles are short original phrases. No recordings, samples or existing game audio are used, and the file list includes each sound's recipe.

Is it real console hardware audio?

No. It is a software imitation of the chiptune sound: pulse and triangle waves with coarse volume steps. It will not be bit-exact to any particular console, which also means it isn't tied to one.

What can't I do?

You can't resell or give away the sounds themselves, on their own or as part of another sound pack or asset library. Using them inside your finished game is exactly what they're for.

Is this a subscription?

No. One payment of $12 and the files are yours to keep.
