About this pack
Add and subtract at the right level, one small step at a time. This pack begins with adding and subtracting within 5 and 10 for kindergarten, moves through within 20 (including make-a-ten and counting back through ten), missing numbers and adding and subtracting tens for grade 1, then 2-digit adding and subtracting with and without regrouping and three-addend problems for grade 2, and finally 3-digit and 4-digit problems, subtracting across zeros and mixed review for grade 3. Larger problems are laid out vertically with room to write, subtraction always has a top number at least as big as the bottom, and every worksheet has name, date and score lines. All 1,024 problems have a complete answer key that a separate program has recomputed and confirmed.

- What grades is it for? Kindergarten through grade 3. Each worksheet is labeled with the grade band it suits (for example "Grade 2 practice"), so you can start where your child is. This is plain skill practice and does not claim to match any particular curriculum.
- Will subtraction ever give a negative answer? No. On every subtraction problem the top number is at least as large as the bottom number, and a separate program checked all of them.
- Are the answers checked? Yes. Every one of the 1,024 answers was recomputed from the printed problem by an independent checker: no mismatches.
- Can I print just the worksheets? Yes, the zip has a worksheets-only PDF and a keys-only PDF.
