What you can and cannot do in bulk on Etsy

Last updated October 28, 2026

If you are used to uploading a spreadsheet of products to other marketplaces, Etsy works differently. Etsy's help center says it does not have a way to bulk upload new listings. It does have tools that save time on listings you already have. This guide lists them.

What Etsy offers

What Etsy does not offer

Creating many new listings from a file in one go. Etsy's help says: “You can't bulk upload new listings, but you can copy listings to save time.” Any tool or service that claims otherwise, including ones that use your Etsy login, should be checked against Etsy's current policies and terms before you use it. We do not give advice on whether a particular tool is allowed.

A workable approach for new products

  1. Prepare all your titles, descriptions, tags and prices in a spreadsheet first. Check Etsy's limits for each field in Etsy's help.
  2. Create one complete listing by hand, with photos, shipping and processing profiles.
  3. Copy it for each similar product, then paste the prepared text for that product and swap the photos.
  4. Use bulk edit later for changes that apply to many listings (a price change, a shipping profile, renewal options).
  5. Download your listing CSV now and then as a backup and as a way to review everything in one place.

Keeping your product text in a spreadsheet is useful even without bulk upload. Listloom does not upload anything to Etsy; it is a column mapper that reshapes a spreadsheet into whatever column layout you load, and it is not a way to create Etsy listings. On Etsy you still create new listings in Etsy itself.
